The Members of TALPOS & ARNOLD, P.C.
JOHN C. TALPOS
is the principal in the firm. Talpos has been
practicing law for over 25 years. He received his undergraduate
degree from the University of Detroit. He is an honors graduate from
the University of Detroit School of Law where he obtained his J.D.,
and a Ford Foundation Fellowship winner at New York University School
of Law where he obtained a Master of Law (LI.M.-Crim.J.). He clerked
for Justice Michael D. O'Hara, then sitting by designation on the
Michigan Court of Appeals. Talpos is engaged in the general practice
of law, doing both trial and appellate work, as well as handling both
civil and criminal matters for clients. His areas of concentration
are personal injury, family law, drunk driving defense and
litigation.
JAMES B.
ARNOLD,
having been a principal in the firm for almost 20
years, is currently in an "of-counsel" relationship bringing his
expertise whenever his assistance is needed. Arnold attended
Lake Superior State College before graduating from Northern Michigan University and the Detroit College of Law. He has
been associated with the current and former principals of the firm
all of his professional career. Arnold, while spending increasing
time in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, is still engaged in the general
practice of law. Areas of concentration are real estate (where he has
been accepted as an expert witness) and litigation.
LORI B.
FRANK
is also in an "of-counsel" relationship to the firm.
Ms. Frank earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Boston
University and received her J.D. from Detroit College of Law. Ms.
Frank specializes in business matters generally, but has also
developed an expertise in all the area of commercial leases including
drafting, enforcing and litigating these complex contracts.
SEAN A. DAIGLE
is an associate in the firm. After earning his BA from Michigan State University, he attended Wayne State University Law School, from which he graduated in May of 2001. He was a member of Wayne's Student Trial Advocacy Program and clerked for both the Free Legal Aid Clinic and the Office of the General Counsel at DaimlerChrysler Corporation. Mr. Daigle is engaged in the general practice of law, with a concentration on appeals, litigation, drunk driving defense, and personal injury.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
DAVID H. PARUCH is experienced in resolution of a wide range of immigration issues. He primarily represents corporations seeking to establish branch offices, to resolve personnel bottlenecks and to supplement their professional staff with individuals from other countries by internal company transfers and external hiring of experts, as well as by transfer of United States personnel abroad. He has assisted companies, both United States and foreign, to obtain temporary employment authorization for individuals from all corners of the world as specialty occupation workers, temporary workers in temporary jobs, trainees, and intracompany transfers. He has also assisted employers to obtain permanent status for foreign personnel, including labor certifications, preference petitions, and permanent visa processing both in and outside the United States. He has assisted in processing family-based visas and, where appropriate, applications for asylum from foreign persecution.
Mr. Paruch served as the Chair of the State Bar of Michigan International Law Section Immigration Law Committee and of the Oakland County Bar Association Immigration Law Committee. He was twice elected Chair of the Michigan Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and served simultaneously as a member of the Board of Governors of that Association. He has served as Co-Chair of the NAFTA Mentor Committee and National Chair of its Bylaws Committee. He recently completed service as Co-Liaison between AILA and the Nebraska Service Center, as well as service as Co-chair of the AILA Employment Based Immigrants/Labor Certification Task Force, and as a member on the AILA INS Benefits Policy Liaison Committee and the AILA Border Issues Committee. He currently chairs the AILA Liaison Committee with the Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration. He also serves as a Trustee of the American Immigration Law Foundation. He is listed in "The Best Lawyers in America," 1995-1996, 1997-1998, 1999-2000, 2001-2002, and the forthcoming 2003-2004 Editions; he is also listed in the first three issues of International Who's Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers; both listings reflect his nomination and recognition by his peers. He is active in community and civic organizations, and recently completed his second term as the Chairman of the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of South Oakland County; he currently is Chair of the Boys & Girls Club of South Oakland County Trust. He recently served twice as the Chair of the Partnership for Education Advisory Council in the Royal Oak Neighborhood Schools, and is a past president of the Royal Oak Area Optimist Club, whose annual oratorical competition he has presented for several years.
He lives in Royal Oak with his wife, Pat, the former Mayor of Royal Oak. They have two daughters, Cathy and Ann.
